Ingredients
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup coconut milk, warm
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
- Extra oil for frying
Method
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast, cardamom and salt in a bowl.
- Add warm coconut milk and melted butter or oil.
- Knead until the dough is soft and smooth.
- Cover and rest until doubled in size.
- Roll out gently and cut into triangles or squares.
- Fry in warm oil until golden on both sides.
- Drain and serve warm with tea, coffee or as part of a shared table.
